The Mission of the African Methodist Episcopal Church is to minister to the spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and environmental needs of all people by spreading Christ’s liberating gospel through word and deed.
Everyone welcome
Barnett Chapel is an inclusive church. Our doors welcome all people of all colors and walks of life. We invite into membership everyone who is in search of a place to worship and come to know Christ Jesus as their lord and savior.
What to expect
Feel right at home. Barnett Chapel is a welcoming congregation inviting all who want to become apart of the body of Christ.
Our services are from 10:30am until 11:30pm. Feel free to stay a while and connect with others.
Make yourself comfortable at our worship services. Typically members and visitors wear their Sunday best; members of the ministerial staff dress conservatively, as do many officers of the church. Others dress more casually, but always respectfully. Just come as you are — you’ll fit in
